Hawley Road, Oxford – Reconstruction
The project encompassed 3,800 liner feet of a total roadway reconstruction, including sanitary sewer realignment, a completely new storm sewer system consisting of 34 structures and 3,500 of pipe. The roadway its self, started with 10,000cy of excavation and 6,000cy of sub-base, followed by 3,500 tons of asphalt. The work also involved the reconstruction of numerous driveways and regrading shoulders as a result of a changed roadway profile. Local businesses were accommodated and kept open for business as usual. While there was some redesign and alterations, as well as utility delays, the project finished as projected.
